Hi guys/gals.

I'm doing up a poster with Pagemaker for work. I have an image which I want to place in Pagemaker, but I want to remove the background of the image (so that the background colour of the poster shows instead). I believe I need to make the background of the image transparent.

In Photoshop 7, I've tried background eraser/magic eraser but it doesn't work once I save as tiff/eps and lay the image in Pagemaker. Any ideas what's the best way to do it? Can you describe in simple terms as I'm not very proficient with Photoshop? Thank you!

Cheers! :)

They're called 'clipping paths'.Can find in PS help.

Ti.
in layers, easiest to click ctrl on your artwork to get a quick selection,
then go to paths, 'make workpaths from selections',
lastly click the arrow and u see 'clipping path'.

Firestone, what tool do I use while clicking ctrl on my image? :dunno: I've searched google and printed two sets of instructions. Still no go. I think some steps may have been left out. Is there a detailed website on clipping path? Thanks.
