Photoshop Elements 5.0 Guides

Does anyone know if guides are enabled in PSE5.0? Under the View menu droplist, there is a "Guide Presets" which is deactivated. Is it possible to activate that? I also tried dragging from the rulers but there are still no guidelines. Also, I'm able to select Snap To Guide. Have I missed out something?

I know guides are not available in PSE 4.0 and below.

Not sure if you mean the Gridlines.

Edit > Preference then choose Grid then select your Grid size etc. Afterwhich, you need to go to View > Grid then you should see your gridlines.
