Photoshop CS4 red blown out areas

I have tried googling but I cannot determine the problem. I shoot raw images and I open them with Photoshop CS4, however the blownout areas are highlighted in red. I wonder if this is an option I can disable because it hinders me from looking at the picture

ahh shucks I found out the darn problem. there's a button at the histogram that disables it. sry guys
