Photoshop CS2 sharpen brush tool

Hello everyone. Encounted this problem when I was trying to use sharpen brush to sharpen some of the pictures.

I clicked on the sharpen tool but then I had to choose how many px the brush size is because it didn't work well with the subject in the picture. But when I right click, the bar doesn't come out. Any idea why?

Were you working on multiple layers?

Hey more on the size of the brush did not appear. For eg u select 20 pixels, u cant see how big the diameter is, or the size of the circle.
