Hi All, new to take HDR shot. Will really like to understand if which will process better colour and contrast. :dunno:

see the comparison here :

photoshop :

1) lots of manual steps,
2) conversion choice limited to "local adaption"
3) may cause ghosting effect. Again, extra steps for adjustment

4) option to buy the "photomatix plugin" for photoshop to improve tone mapping control
5) cannot do batch processing

photomatix pro:

- tone mapping adjustment is much easier
- can do batch processing if you have lots of HDR photos to process and save you time

photomatix offers more options in editing, which also translates to more potential for abuse to produce really wierd pictures.

if i need to use photomatix, usually i will still tweak the final image with PS
