Intro to Studio Lighting & Portraits

What:

A 4-hour intensive workshop and model shoot that introduces participants to the studio environment, lighting techniques that are suitable for portraits, as well as tips and tricks to directing models for the most effective portraits.

Limited to at six participants per session, each participant receives focused attention from our instructors and gets a chance at setting up lights, directing model and shooting.

For Studio, learn about:

(1) Light modifiers (softbox, dish)
(2) Getting familiar with both Bowens & Elinchrom lights, two most common brands
(3) How to use one light efficiently & effectively
(4) How to add more multiple lights (for the right reasons)
(5) Practical hands-on. lots of it
(6) Equipment handling and safety

For model posing and interaction

(1) How to pose models different image orientation
(2) How to give instructions effectively to models to achieve better results
(3) Things to look out for to make model look good
(4) How to add interest to a static model's pose

When: 27 June, Saturday
Time: 1pm - 5pm

Where: Camera Rental Center

Fees: SGD$160 per person (Minimum 4 to start)
