Am trying HDR with Photomatix Pro 2.5.1 which I downloaded yesterday.

I took my Nikon D70 RAW picture and using Nikon Capture, produced 3 images of -0.5EV, 0EV and 0.5EV.

Fed the 3 images to Photomatix. At the preview window, everything look fine until I went to generate the final output.

For the final output, besides the watermark since I am testing the software, only a circle segment of the image was same as the preview windows and the rest was like covered with a black filter.

I also re-tried using the samples images from HDRsoft website and the final output looks like the one in the preview window.

What is wrong ? Anyone has such experience.

you tried Ctrrl T after generating the HDR?

I think I did.

Also why the sample images from HDRsoft tutorial website were generated OK and not the ones I fed to the software.

Attached are what I meant.

Before I hit the apply button. The pic in the preview window looks OK.

After I hit the apply button. And strange enough, no water mark

Noticed in the middle, there is a ring of highlight and the rest of the region is dark.

I think it is normal, you can try using other images for the test. Some images will produce such results.

I think likewise. Because I have tried 3 different images from my Nikon D70 RAW and all like that.

If the image produced such result, why the preview windows seems so perfect.
