Mini photomarathon practice at Jurong Japanese Garden Rest House
Date: Saturday, 25 September 2010
Time : 8am to 11am
Location to meet : Jurong Japanese Garden Rest House
Getting there, you can walk in from the Japanese Garden Main Entrance (5 mins walk) or you can walk in from the Chinese Garden MRT (15 mins )
The singapore zipcode is Japanese Garden Rest House (S) 619795 for finding it on the map
The location is good as it is sheltered with toilets at the corner and a drinks vending machine.
There is one white wall there with three sides open and greenery all around.
We will be here for the whole duration.
The mini photomarathon practice will consist of three themes to be revealed that day, one every hour and you can practice taking pictures to fit the theme. There are no prizes to be awarded.
I will explain on how to light the pictures with flash with umbrella or use natural light if needed. This is to help us be more creative, plan and practice our skills for future photo contests.

Tripod
Flash triggers if needed otherwise check whether your camera allow off camera flash usage
Translucent umbrella ( Daiso ) or flash shoot through umbrella
I have 4 pairs of flashes and triggers to lend out to let people try.
Everyone is welcome even if they do not have the right equipment.
They can join the teams and share the equipment.
They can learn and then decide what to get if they want equipment.
We will use ourselves as the models if need be.
There is no price for this free outing as it is meant for everyone to share their skills.
Just come along and there is no need to inform me that you are coming.
Anyone who has feedback for me to improve the outing or other sheltered places please pm me.
