I've registered but I didn't get any email confirmation. How many email do you get from the organizer? I didn't even get any confirmation when I register.

I got 2 replies from Canon.

1st email on 6 Oct
Hi,

I'll like to know which category you'll be participating in. Either the "Open" or "Pro Category". And once you've registered for this compeition, it means that you're already in the compeition. So pls be punctual on 16 Oct and remember to bring along your indemnity form, which can be printed out from the website.

2nd email on 12 Oct

Congratulations once again for successfully registering for the Digital
Life- Canon Digital Photo Marathon 2004. The location, once again, is at Anglo Chinese School at Barker Road, the Auditorium. You may visit www.photomarathon.com.sg for the site map.

Thank you for your e-mail queries and suggestions for the Digital Life -
Canon Digital Photo Marathon 2004.

We would like to clarify the following:

1. On bringing friends: There will not be seating space for supporters
and friends. Only registered participants are allowed to sit in for the
assignment briefings, download images and so on. This is due to the
seating capacity of the Auditorium in Anglo Chinese School, and the
large number of participants. Our priority is to cater to the need of
particpants first and foremost. However, your friends are free to wait in
the vicinity outside the Auditorium

2. You can use any form of transportation. You decide where you want to
go to shoot your photographs, depending on the assignment themes. There
will be no reimbursement for any transport costs. We strongly encourage
everyone to use public transport, as parking spaces are limited and parking
woes might eat into your time.

3. Image size: We require images to be set at 1,600 x 1,200 pixels (2
megapixel resolution), in JPEG format. You can adjust your camera settings
to this format. Which cameras or accesories (like lenses or filters) you
want to use is entirely your choice. If your camera does not have the exact
2-megapixel resolution in JPEG, just set it to a resolution that is close
enough. Our main purpose is to let everyone submit a photo that is as
high-resolution as possible, but does not take up more than 2MB in size so
that we can quickly process all images submitted. Feel free to approach the
organisers on the competition day, if you need help to set your camera's
image resolution size.

4. Downloading of images: You will be guided to use the downloading
software on a Macintosh computer and a Canon printer (or card
reader). It works similarly to the Windows desktop. If you can drag and
drop files between folders on your desktop, the downloading will be no
problem. But if you need help, we will assist in the download.

5. Editing of images: We do not allow editing of images using software,
in the interest of fairness. Please refer to the latest Terms and
Conditions.

6. Timings: You can download your images earlier than the stated times,
if you are early. But assignment themes will only be given out only at the
stipulated times.

7. Briefing: Please come on time for the briefing that will begin at
8.30am on Oct 16. Registration starts at 8 am.

Please click on the link below for the ACS map at Barker Road. The carpark and auditorium are in red letterings.

We will like to thank your support for the 2nd digital photo
marathon in Singapore, and we hope to make it a memorable event for all
participants to enjoy as we did last year.

Thank you!

****......I miss it again!!!

Just a clue, like last year, you have to sign-in/check-in at the counter against a name list, hand in your indemnity form, then you will be given a pre prepared printed name tag and a vest. Those without can join the foreigners for fun, I think it is better to check with them your registration status before you go than to get disappointed or to make scene and argue with them over there. :nono: :)
