Sad to say that CS has becomes a equipment showcase and ego boosting for individual instead of a photography site.

It's not cheap if you keep changing to the latest and greatest.
Digital should make it cheaper if you just use what you have
and concetrate on taking picture.

Much More Expensive than SLR. Takes too much time for simple shots, missed too much opportunities, and the terrible troubling feeling of an 'empty catch' can be unbearable. Photoshopping is tiring as well and not fun - the purist 'heavenly' feeling (well composed, X-factor timed,framed and exposed pics) cannot be easily attained as well.
