Hi,

For those who missed Quiz #8, I thought this might be interesting to bring up as a separate thread. The slide film Kodachrome is such a classic that Paul Simon actually wrote a song of the same title.

The lyrics goes:

When I think back
On all the crap I learned in high school
It's a wonder
I can think at all
And though my lack of education
Hasn't hurt me none
I can read the writing on the wall

Kodachrome
You give us those nice bright colors
You give us the greens of summers
Makes you think all the world's a sunny day, oh yeah!
I got a Nikon camera
I love to take a photograph
So Mama, don't take my Kodachrome away

If you took all the girls I knew
When I was single
And brought them all together for one night
I know they'd never match
My sweet imagination
And everything looks worse in black and white

Kodachrome
You give us those nice bright colors
You give us the greens of summers
Makes you think all the world's a sunny day, oh yeah!
I got a Nikon camera
I love to take a photograph
So Mama, don't take my Kodachrome away

Mama, don't take my Kodachrome away

Mama, don't take my Kodachrome away

Mama, don't take my Kodachrome away

Mama, don't take my Kodachrome
Mama, don't take my Kodachrome
Mama, don't take my Kodachrome (away)

Mama, don't take my Kodachrome
Mama, don't take my Kodachrome
Mama, don't take my Kodachrome (away)

Mama, don't take my Kodachrome
(Leave your boy so far from home)
Mama, don't take my Kodachrome (away)

Any people know other photo-related songs? :)

Regards
CK

“How much did Kodak pay him”

Must we be paid when we rejoice in a product
or service?

The same espisode can be applied to all those
who had shared and rejoiced about the places for
good chicken rice and bak kut teh. How much did
those hawkers pay you?

Will any one of us get paid when we write a song
in celebration of Clubsnap?

Just feel happy to share what I have found out,
that Kodachrome has been known among photographers
as the finest slide film ever made.

A place to start is Clubsnap
Where sincere enthusiatic photographers gathers
Giving off their valuable time for nothing
Just to make the community grow
Going more and more vibrant day after day
The world will soon recognize this small hot chilly
could be trusted to do photographic services that
would benefit man and his surroundings.

Can we argue that we could improve life when
we are able to share and give without reward so
as to benefit others?

Anyone here can write a song for Clubsnap?
But please don't ask for a thousand dollar cheque!
