Photography during island hopping in Phuket

Hihi, have a rather silly question to those who have been to Phuket & went for island hopping day trip as I will be going for my virgin trip this coming Wed.

I would be bringing my DSLR along but still thought of going swimming & snokeling at some stops. I am wondering whether it's safe to leave the camera & our $$ on the boat while going for snokeling?

Can those who have been on this trip b4 advise? Thanks in advance!

Should be, the boat cant go anyway when you go snorkelling anyway! However, a BIG warning, there will be alot of salt water....

And sand.....they get to everything. We're talking about the fine powdery type of sand.

I didn't even think about the salt water & sand in the 1st place. Will take note of this now.
I was only thinking whether it's safe to leave my cam & $ on the boat while snokeling as there would be some of the boat's staff & other passengers who might stay on the boat too so just abit wary...
