Hi,
I very new to photography and recently got myself a dSLR camera. Can anyone advise me what is a good photography book to get to learn more about taking good pictures with dSLR? Thanks.

You intend to buy the books or u want to borrow from library or u want to download available free ebooks?

There's just too many of them, google it! :)

Several I've read:

Mastering Digital SLR Photography, by David D. Busch

Mastering Composition with Your Digital SLR, by Chris Rutter

The Complete Guide to Light & Lighting in Digital Photography, by Freeman, Michael

E.T.C.

Photos with Impact by Tom Mackie

Learning to See Creatively: Design, Color and Composition in Photography by Bryan Peterson

These are two of the very first photography books I've ever read (and ironically the most memorable). Nothing too technical in these books but the images and text has a creative skew. If you want more on equipment then these books don't offer it, from memory.

Highly recommended to get your creative juices flowing.

Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson

The digital photography book by Scott Kelby

you can borrow both books from the library.

i have the two digital photography books by scott kelby. it's a very practical book with as minimal technical jargon as possible.

yeap i agree.
i started off using scott kelby
it's very simple and easy to read/understand, but some books can contain alot of.. sarcasm somewhat
overall, he writes great books :)

Can i know some book titles by scott kelby?

get all the Bryan Peterson books and you'll have most bases covered and in a flowing easy to understand manner since all written by same author.

you can borrow both books from the library.

I second on the Understanding Exposure!!:thumbsup:

I started with all bryan peterson's:
- understanding exposure
- understanding digital camera
- learning to see creatively
- beyond portraiture

the first 3 books are quite similar in content.
