Photobucket auto compress pix ?

Hi,

I notice that after i upload my pic to photobucket,
the pic appear less sharp.

My upload Option is Max 1MB per pic,
and the pix i upload are less than 1MB.

Anyone facing the same problem ?

Unless you purchase the pro account, the max image size is 1024x768.

My pix is less than 1024x768 and less than 1MB,
also got compressed. :bigeyes:

Yes, the free account will compress your photos and it looked really bad. I compared the pictures in my harddisk against those in my photobucket a/c and you can really see the difference.

Any recommendation for free hosting and do not compress pix ?

I've always thought so as well, but when I did a google on competing photo hosting sites, none of the reviews reviewed this.
Looks like its time for me to switch.

Looks like its time for me to switch.
They are all the same unless you subscribe to those paid ones. Most people use Flickr Pro due to the lower price package as compared to some others.
