A photo series by me, of my friend. First time trying out 'Model' Photography.. well actually i'd just call them snapshots..but hell, it's my first try.

Please give me comments/tips on how it could be better ..

**NOTE**
We'd really appreciate if these photos are not redistributed or saved in any way. Thank you

And lastly .. Happy National Day to all

Potential model.....

I think for a first timer...you have done well. I would rather move away from the wide angle lens and use your semi and telephoto lenses.

Composition can be better for all as you are using a wide angle. You crop too much for some of your shots especially on her body. Would prefer to see more of her half & full body poses as she looks very flexible person.

Your background have too much details. Would prefer to use a longer lens to throw some of it out of focus.

Would have done some make-up on her as her face looks plain.....

Thank you.

Hi !!

Thanks very much for your very helpful tips and comments !!

Umm.. let me explain why.. cause i don't have any other lenses, and this was taken spontaneously..right after an all girl outing .. so..we didn't even plan for this ;p

what are semi lenses by the way? :dunno:

I don't know how to take her full body.. some seem awkard.. how do you establish which parts to "cut off" ?

Oh, and another thing..i realised the photos took a long time to load..transferred them to another server..think it should load faster now..sorry!

last time i was taking photos there, the security chase me away. need to get permission?

Yeah, I needed to get permission and sign in as record and declare that it is not for commercial use before I was allowed to shoot around the area. I thought photography was not even allowed indoors?

may i know from where did u get permission?

this area seems like outdoor to me
i mean u can get a tele lense n shoot this part too right?
i was shooting around here also

Opps, sorry, maybe its my mistake. The squarish ceiling pattern of the last pic looks like the indoors design of millenium walk, I think you are right that its all outdoors. Anyway that was about 2 years ago when security was tight after the Sept 11th incident was still fresh. Even outdoors I had to get permission. The security guard lead me to one of the building's information counter to get permission.

Hi pinky,

agreed with the rest. Too much background were included in the pics. would be nice to include more of the model, afterall, the focus here is the model, not the scenery.

U did a great job posing the model though, she looks natural and fun.
Nice poses.

I love the idea of the last shot, very interesting!

Keep on shooting... :)

nice photos..
may i know what camera you used to take those photos?
olympus 5060 ?

Hi Staz and others who got chased..

I encountered this many years ago too.. 5, 6, years ago? Got chased by security while taking just snapshots while in secondary school days..

I guess on that day we just fortunate that the security didn't escort us or make us sign any documents

However, we were on the lookout and ready to run!! :sweatsm:

Actually ..why it looks so natural and fun cause she's a very close friend..the group of us are best friends..so..i guess there's no introduction needed or no shyness.. no barriers :)

They've been my test subjects for awhile..and they're pretty used to it :bsmilie:

Yeah!! I love the last shot..i wanted to do more but it was so awkard..i had to like, bend under her and it was so hot..gave up after awhile.. people were giving us weird looks

Yes, it's outdoors..a little tricky cause there's shadows cast by the tall buildings surrounding it.. so if it's overcast can just forget about it..but thankfully the sun was in the right direction that day.. and there was wind! YAY! See her hair? :bsmilie:

We were like..quick quick!! face there!! :bsmilie:
