United Nations has designated 2002 as the International Year of Ecotourism. In conjunction with this, the Singapore Environment Council and World Environment magazine are organising this photo contest to generate greater awareness about what ecotourism is all about.

Photo contest on EcoTourism in Asia
Entry deadline: 30 September 2002
Make a statement about what ecotourism is to you by sending your photo entries to win a total prize-money of S$13,000 donated by ABB, City Developments Limited and supported by Singapore Tourist Board.

Photo enthusiasts are encouraged to send in three of their best shots to the Ecotourism in Asia photo contest in any of the four categories available:

Professional: 1st - US$2,000; 2nd - US$1,000; 3rd - US$500.
Eligibility: All

Amateur: 1st - S$1,000; 2nd - S$800; 3rd - S$400
Eligibility: Only citizens and PR holders in Singapore

Youth: 1st - S$800; 2nd - S$400; 3rd - S$200
Eligibility: Only citizens and PR holders in Singapore

Naturally Singapore: S$1,000 each to 3 winning entries
Eligibility: All

Official entry forms can be obtained from World Environment magazine and Singapore Environment Council offices, as well as from www.aboutwe.com or email to admin@aboutwe.com. Entry forms are also available at Singapore Visitors Centre at Suntec City, Liang Court, Chijmes and Tourist Court.
