Personally my advice is to stick to the same brand of phone which you are used to.

I changed from a nokia to motorola once, and despite hours of reading the manual and a few months of use.

I found that typing the SMS and locating contacts in my address book took a longer time than nokia.

Fed up, sold the phone and reverted to nokia again. (too used to the interface)

Find for color phones, Samsung and Panasonic's LCD is better and has more colors 65000 compared to Nokia's. not too sure about their user-friendliness though.

read around and veered towards p800 again...

was using 3210 then me45
I tried old motorolas too v3688 (is it?) sucky ui...
siemens not as frenly as nokia but still very usable...
tried panasonic, samsung, alcatel etc... samsung is almost nokia liao...

p800 is symbian, good for fiddling around... had a palm vx but in the end left it at home cos I dun bring a bag around... not to mention sdk available.. :)

now wondering if anyone can advise on price... :)

Agreed.

Me used the V60 before (the DBS Cashline free phone), UI same like v3688.

Gave up after 3-4 months.
