Personal webpage and hosting

Hi,

still new to this internet webpage stuff. I would like to have my own personal webpage created, so that friends and family could go and look at what's happening in my life, share info and photographs, some blog, etc.

Can anyone advice me on what I need to do? I am using StarHub maxonline, and they don't seem to offer such services as part of their broadband subscription. Only Singnet & pacnet has it. Just change to maxonline, so cannot change so soon.

Any advice on webpage hosting, etc will be appreciated. Thanks.

a blog would be ideal for what you're looking for (try places like http://www.blogger.com). For photos, you can use flickr.com (which has pretty good integration with blogger) or some other free/paid photo hosting sites like Clubsnap, photobucket.com etc.
