Hi All,

It's time for our monthly outing again. Our official Pentax outing started exactly three years ago (May 2008), but our very first organized Pentax outing was in Dec 2007 at SBG. So this round we'd go there again, and hopefully we can capture some nice portraits/flowers/macros.

Please bring your macro lens, tele lens, portrait lens, and your families as well, we are gonna have a lot shooting and chitchat fun there

Date: 21 May 2011
Time: 7:30am onwards
Venue: Singapore Botanic Garden


Meeting up 8:00am at the SBG Visitor Center (there is a coffee shop there). Head out at 8:30am sharp. Please come early if possible.

There is a tour on that day, but with admission charges

National Orchid Garden Tour
Date: 21 May (Sat)
Time: 9am, 10am, 11am, 4pm

Admire the diversity and richness of the largest display of tropical orchids in the world.

Admission Fees: - $5; Students - $1; Senior Citizens (Above 60 years) - $1; Children (Below 12 years) - Free

Registration is on a first-come-first served basis at the Visitor Centre. Please register 15 minutes before the tour.

There will be a concert on Sunday as well

Xinyao Concert
Date: 22 May (Sun)
Time: 6.30pm-7.30pm
Venue: Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage

Xinyao, or "Singapore pop" will take centrestage with some of Singapore's veteran Xinyao singers belting out memorable songs of yesteryears.

That alone is probably enough reason to go to SBG for this outing.....once in a lifetime (at least for me) to see this...:sweat:

Yeah, I have never ever seen the Pentax FA* 600mm f/4 up close before so this is well worth the meet-up.
