Looks like using a wide angle lens,

how do u get this kind of DOF with wide angle lens, is it as 35mm f1.4 on full frame???

Nice capture. The birds are not Grey Heron...can't confirm but from their wings, looks like Milky Stork and Painted Stork flying together...

Thanks Desmond. I uploaded the pic (after crop/resize without viewing 100%) to flickr yesterday morning 2+am, quite sleepy at that time so just roughly guess the bird id. :embrass:
You are right it's most likely milky stork as I can see the beak is longer compared to herons.

Thanks Toh. You are right, this scene is not common, in fact myt 1st time shooting so many big birds in flight.

Nice shot of the juvenile night heron.
Will be better if you can clone away the 2 thin branches. :)
