Miss the main group, when arrived, sun up in the sky already. Got some lake and bridge shot. (The PP is not that strong as I thought when compared to vivitar 100-300 f5)

I guess the most fun part today was to experience the new K-01 camera. Pity I didn't have any camera w/ me other than the new baby, had to take some photos of this unique camera at home after the outing.

Although you guys have seen enough K-01 photos, here I share a few taken by myself anyway:

K-01 w 40 XS:

The new 40mm lens is really really thin, and it got a unique push-on type rubber lens cap:

I just lover to take those silver FA Limited lenses, they look pretty good on the new K-01 camera:

The new 40mm XS lens works great on K-5, looks pretty cool too:

I think a lot guys would love to have this new 'body cap':

I used the lens quite abit, have to say it's a joy to use. Optically it's probably as good if not better than the original 40 Ltd. Here are a few quick snaps from today:

Too bad about the poor sunrise. The contingency was to take photos before the sun actually rose

Don't expect big speed improvement due to Pentax' screw-driven or SDM AF system.

i think as long as its "on-par" with previous generation entry-level body like the KX and KR, its good enough for a start.
