Thanks JK, for initiating this month outing and it has been great to be able to catch up with fellow Pentaxians. Let me start this photo sharing with out photo of the day.

As this is my second Macro shots, let me start with noob photos as an opening.

Due to my noobie manual focusing skill, pls bear with me on below either slight out of focus and unsharp photos. ;)

Thanks JK for organizing this month outing. It was nice to meet and chit chat with you all.

@Ashyra7: thanks for starting the thread, bro. I think your shared photos' size are a bit small.

This is my keeper of this morning.

Wow! how you make the background dark? Very Nice technique.

Nice stuff!
Keep the photos coming. :)

I did not make anything, Philip. The background was dark cause this is a shot down when it is hanging on the leaf pointing down ward. The flash also provided additional help. I rotated my camera so that it look like a horizontal leave.

Will edit it with a larger size. Thx for highlighting, bro 👍😜

Thanks for these nice photos. Glad to meet up with some friends on such a lovely Sunday morning. My photos will be late, if ever at all :(

Eh!
Cannot always say like this leh.... :)

Looking forward to your photos. ;)

To be honest, I think I will try not to organize macro at SBG again if possible.
I think the insect density is rather poor and its not the first time I've observed this.
Just as an example, I'd get lots more butterflies and dragonflies in the small pond at KTPH than what I found in SBT.
Probably (ironically), I think lots of fogging is done there to keep insects at bay and more pleasant for people.
Not sure what you guys think.

Here are 2 shots I managed to process for today.

Q7+06 zoom + x2 +2 Closeup filters.
Not a bad combo imo.
Easy to use, with AF, auto aperture and flash sync that can go as high as 1/1000.
Control of the magnification was easy too by just using different zoom levels on the lens.

Nice shots guys! Wanted to check out the Botanical Gardens after its declaration as World Heritage Site but has been down with 2 Flus the past two weeks. :(
Still on MC today....
Good to see a very good turn out and thanks pinholecam (and others too) for keeping the traditional Pentax Monthly outing alive. Your enthusiasm is what keeps everyone going also!
