1. in what area is critique to be sought?
feel free to critique.

2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
just enjoying the scenery from my friend house window.

3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
peaceful conditions.

4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture?
i think it isnt quite a bad shot. just maybe too much of the sky.

shot info :
taken with nikon d90. 70-300mm lens.
shutter speed : 1/2000
F no. : 4
ISO : 200
Exposure : +1EV
Range : 70mm

CHEERS

this is a snap shot..
no focal point/points of interest at all.
very underexposed and flat.
and yes..too much sky.
sorry...not a good shot at all.

yep. its just a snapshot. was around my fren hse doing project and saw this scenery and just snapped it. it looks quite calming to me.

remember that u r looking at the entire picture..all we can see is a small portion.
try using a wide angle nxt time?
and it's not quite zen-like calming...:dunno:

taking the photograph straight like that it's not really my cup of tea

but from a graphic design/photo perspective i think it has great potential to convey some mysticism or antiqueness. i think if u dulled the contrast down a little bit and brought the blacks a little bit your own your way to a great stock photograph that would pair very nicely with some great typography and maybe masked a slight texture over the photograph/or did some hue vignettes to age it..

i cant quite put my finger on it but i can just see some really beautiful looking album cover or artwork here for some reason.

it DOES look like a snapshot, and the colors are looking murky at the bottom due to underexposure in the greens there.

Picture is very dull overall, both in content and colors. This is recycle bin material if it found in my memory card.

i'm pretty noob at graphic design, but here's a tad of the potential i saw in the shot
