Hi guys just want to ask if the path given on this thread http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=225015 is still passable?

Went there last time but what we did is, we saw a opening just before you reach the bus stop after you went down the overhead bridge, and we basically climb up to reach the old house.

Is there any other alternative route? that doesn't need trekking?

wah...that's a tough entry. :bsmilie:

any suggestions?

Not sure if there is any changes to that place but you are suppose to walk past the bus stop and get to a clear opening which is around 5 to 10 minutes walk away from the bus stop after you cross the overhead bridge.

Bashing through the vegetation and getting up the slope is tough.

Just to confirm, did you pass by the Maids Chamber???

one is from the front...the main gate near botanical gardens back gates , the other is way before the bridge near some construction area, wait for cyclists, follow them in. (yeah i think it's quite a popular trail for cyclists).

These are the only info i offer for entry points, too many people going there...not nice lah....later become like OCH..."tourist spot" too many people go there sightseeing. lol :bsmilie:

Try going there early in the morning, if it's for photography. :sweatsm:

been there before, but i went by the botanic garden side...

can't remember how to get there though.. no longer have the printed guide..

precisely...that why i hate those who go there being disrespectful, vandalize the place, scream and shout scare each other to impress girls, make out there, take drugs...etc...all very disrespectful to the place.

Istana woodneuk's burned down roof was probably by some vandals or maybe even a ciggie butt not extinguished. It's a pity the roof collapse and its not that safe anymore, and with all the doors, windows opened wideit lost its spooky factor. Haaa

But the blades cut both ways....the more a location is made known...the more people will know and make a trip there, just like OCH. It's crazy.

Yup...from what i heard if not wrong, it's msian property over there. Don't let the banglahs/workers spot you there, they will help call the police if they spot you. So yah...don't say i didn't warn anybody. kakaka :bsmilie:

... call the police ...
If its M'sian territories then the police are impotent and irrelevant, ie the Singapore Police. Only the M'sian police can arrest you - and any Singapore Police found with you - for illegal entry.

There was once an incident on the M'sian railway line. It was in the newspapers. A tree or a car went onto the railway tracks and none of the Singapore police or fire service can go it to extricate the obstruction. Only the Malaysians can do it for themselves.

Land belongs to Sultan of Johor..I tink, unless there has been changes which the general public like us is not aware of.
