Passport size photo print using PS

Hello,

I am looking for guidance on printing passport size photo using photoshop.
Specifically I need help on the size ( widh x height ) and how to print it on a A4 size paper. In otherwords, I will be using A4 size paper. So what are the settings that I need to do PS.

Searched alllll over the internet when I was printing my passport sized photo that time..

Hope the figure above helped

Basically a passport size photo is 3.5cm by 4.5cm

So each A4 size paper (measuring 21 by 29.7 cm) can take quite a few...
can't remember how many I squeezed, but i think it was around 30 per sheet... definitely more than enough for use

Anyway, other key points to note about passport sized photos are matt paper, white based backgrounds and no shadows (I repeat! no shadows)

Used it for passport application, driving license, matric card, etc etc
haven't got rejected before

Excellent info. Many thanks for the diagram. That certainly helps.

I am basically summarising the steps below. Pls correct me if I am wrong.

1. Create crop tool to the measurement as 3.5cm by 4.5cm
2. Crop the photo using this crop tool.
3. Create a new canvas to measure the A4 size paper measuring 21 by 29.7 cm
4. copy and paste into this canvas to fit as many.
5. Print to printer.

Once again, appreciate all your help with this.

just something i thought interesting..
once took a black and white photo and turn it into colour in ps and submit it for passport application for a friend.
they actually accept the photo. :think:

think it's possible to map from b/w to color, heard of some artist in the news, who REPAINTED the b/w pictures of the parliament into colour...

You can create a duplicate layer and select the colour u want to use then use blending options. You have to do it colour by colour. A little bit tedious though.
