Passenger Hijacked CityCab And Knocked Down Cleaner At Budget Terminal

No reporter bothered to interview the taxi driver to find out more about the case?
What sort of sloppy journalistic reporting is this?
Don't handle this case with kiddie gloves. Impose death sentence on the PRC national since he killed another person willfully and recklessly.

Don't worry that PRC will protest. They won't. These kind of guys are worthless to the PRC govt. Their lives mean nothing to PRC that has 1.3 billion people.
Maybe he lost money at casino and got no money to pay taxi driver, so want to pick a fight. At same time want to escape the loan sharks.

heart breaking news

another heart-wrenching news.. the Cleaner supervisor is such a innocent victim.

at this point of time, dunno who is at fault Taxi driver or China-man but whatever it is, the person who landed the first fist must be punished. and the person who killed the innocent victim must be bought to justice. (this reminds me of the Romanian foreign diplomat case)

btw, we are dogs living in a dog's world. what can we do..

this incident also reminds me of the incident that those Ang Mo who whack up the taxi driver and his friends at Boat Quay.. and those Chao Ang Mo ran off to Australia

It does not appear that he will face capital punishment based on the reported info.

I think it's very clear "Dreaming" was referring specifically only to the Ang Mos in his preceding sentence, ie, those who whacked the taxi driver. He used the word "those". And I don't think "Chao" is a vulgar word?

yes. referring those specific guys who abuse ppl just to vent their anger. if we are the victim and nobody come to our rescue, then it is really suck-thump; given their huge size. Tks

Dafuq did I just read? Chinaman hijack taxi and killed Indian man and is about to get away scot free?

yes newspaper seems to infer psychological problem for that man

i dunno why newspaper already started to defend the man before all finding are concluded

this woman also

Well, I did not see anything saying that the man had psychological problems, but the factual description of the behaviour seems to indicate so. If it is indeed the case, then naturally that has to be taken into account, just as other factors such as age, physical condition, etc are always taken into account in the courts of law.

Well, the direct translation is "smelly", it's debatable if "smelly" should be deemed vulgar but in most cases, the word is used in a derogatory context.

if the suspect prove he cannot handle the taxi well, then it is contestable again..

Guys, ensure that you never get hit by a car.. chances is that you will die regretfully ...

I don't understand why the nationalities/races here matter. Whether it is a Chinaman, Eskimo or an African behind the wheel, or a Indian, Caucasian or Middle Eastern cleaner, this is still a tragedy because a life was lost for no apparent good reason. If the courts were to pick and choose based on whether "XXX will protest", or how many people there are in the accused's country, it would be a sad day.

Woah woah woah. I'm not trying to say anything abt their race/nationality here. I just think that it sounds better than to say "guy A hijacked a taxi and rammed into guy B"

Focus is on the hijacking part

Yes, that alone is mind-boggling enough.

Thanks for the clarification.

Dun mention it. :D but still wtf, why take away the taxi driver's livelihood???
