How to make a pano?

Shoot a sequence of shots while panning the camera around. If you wanna be accurate - then shoot while rotating around the nodal point of the lens

Make sure all settings are fixed - manual settings, fixed white balance, no polarising filters so as to have same exposure overlapping contiguous shots for stitching into a pano later on.

Finally, stitch them in a software such as Hugin, PTGui, Photoshop Photomerge function etc..
