My quick take :
- If much cheaper than Gx8, then this could be a B cam. Issue is no mic input : (
- It has 5 axis IS!! OMG! and coupled with relevant Panny Lenses, has 5 axis Dual IS!
- 5 axis dual IS supports 4k video!! WOW

Run.. don't walk.. BBB ;p

This one looks really very very attractive with a spec sheet that looks like which Pana even threw the kitchen sink in , all for sub US800.

Frankly I'll prefer this over the GX8 lol.

Just that no mic input.... And smaller battery

Expect more gx8 in bns

No tiltable LVF as well. But still 5axis + 4k at this price point, no AA filter and an improved shutter in a small form and a very nice kit lens :)

Just noticed one simple feature that I quite like from using Sony A7s - USB charging, no need to lug extra charger when travelling.

IIRC u still need to carry d adapter. Still the same size as external usb charger

May shorten the life of your cam if u always use it to charge your batteries.

I thought this meant you can charge it without, say with a battery pack.

Battery life - Battery life is rated at 290 shots according to Panasonic / CIPA test results, which is lower than other Panasonic Micro Four Thirds cameras, although we suspect it is due to the new in-camera sensor based image stabilisation. Thankfully, you can charge the battery using the MicroUSB connection, which will make it easy to charge the camera where-ever you are. The GX80 uses the same battery as the GX7.
