The LZ8 and the LZ10 are presumably the budget version of the LX3. Full manual + Leica lens for less then $170..there is no reason why it shouldnt be anyone`s first camera.

i'm using LZ10. i can assure you that its a damm good cam for the price.

where can u find less than $200 cam with full manual functons, Lumix IA and leica lens?

the best thing is it runs on AA batt. anytime and anywhere you can easily buy.

i been using it for 1 year liao... i bought it abt $249. now i think it can less than $200.

the pics quality is comparable to canon and whatever brands in compact cam range.

with this cam, you will learn the techniques of manual functions and this is very impt if you want to progress in photography. Better than other "brainless" P&S cameras.

at night or low night, where other P&S cannot take a good pic, you can use LZ10 manual functions to have a solid pic.

at daylight, all cameras are the same.

The LZ10 is a very good compact camera for its price. I got mine for less than $170. Below are a few photos taken in Turkey with the LZ10 a week ago. All fresh from camera without any editing. Anyone know how to directly link an image from Flickr here?

HI TS, just bought a black LZ10 from PS Bedok yesterday for less'n $170-c/w 8Gb card + screen protector. They still have both black & silver models in stock. An excellent cam to learn the ropes with+great value for yr $$!

you can buy it from Mustafa. 2 weeks ago, i saw them selling it for $169 or $179, with 8GB card.

get the silver one, looks nicer than black one.


once u get it, enjoy shooting!! most impt, learn to use the manual techniques......

Be warned... this is a frog prince... "I am ugly, but beautiful inside".
I've shown it to my lady friends, they shun it like a frog :bsmilie:

This camera takes great pictures at a super low price. 30mm wide with 5X zoom some more.
But it is not slim, sexy, no big big screen... and sorry, it does not come in pink.

last sunday harvey norman was selling the LZ10 at $148 with 8gb SDHC card and mini tripod for the 1st 30 customers. i miss the great offer and i m dying to get it at that price!

currently best denki and harvey norman is selling LZ10 at $179. i believe the price will drop again during this coming festival season promotion, since christmas n new year is around the corner.

Not really that attractive, i got mine LZ8 with 8GB SDHC + Lumix Leather case with no first 30 nonsense. the case alone i think more expensive then the mini tripod.

anyway the LZ8 and LZ10 has been discontinued so likely no more in production. I am guessing everyone is clearing stock.
