Overexpose and underexpose.

is it wrong to take over expose or underexpose pic?
i mean for the effects of the pics is it bad on the road of learning?
is there any photographer that specialist in overexpose and underexpose?

actually it all depends on your liking and specialty . . . there is no right or wrong for taking overexpose and underexpose photos. Of course not the extreme underexposed or overexposed type.

i was exploring with underexpose and overexpose and some of the pics turn out to be really nice, but i read somewhere(forgot where) that taking pics of underexpose or overexpose you might as well dun get a dslr =.=

IMHO I think there is nothing wrong in taking overexposed or underexposed pictures. Depending on the nature of the shots and the mood you're trying to convey, sometimes you do want to play with overexposure/underexposure.

Depends on what you are shooting, and what is your purpose and what you intend to show your viewers.

If your picture is overexposed for no reason, and viewing your picture will cause viewers' eyes to hurt, you still think it is ok?

1)overexpose and you lose the clouds(details) in the sky is not too good...but overexpose and you lose the blemishes on my face, it's good;p

2)underexpose moon to get the details etc...

*depends on situation...now imagine if you underexp skin in the (1) and overexp the moon (2). Think of what the resultant image might look like... unflattering portrait and a round white ball:bsmilie:

I think over or under exposure is also subjective to a certain extent (unless is very obvious). To you a picture might be correctly exposed but to me might be over-exposed. So to me as long as you are happy with your piece of work that's enough. Of course you might want others' opinion to see if you missed out something or tips to improve.
