Over Exposed and Noisy

Hello fellow CSers, Is it true that if a pic was taken over exposed(overblown) and at a high ISO (1600), it can hardly be corrected in PS? Please advised. Thanks.

Depends on how you define 'corrected'.. For high noise prob, you have softwares like noise ninja that will help remove noise but makes your pic soft. For overexposed pics, nothing much you can do to recover it.

the overblown part

is the hardly correctable part. details in overblown highlights tend to become "solarised" and lost

high iso is much less problematic comparatively.. although it dpeends on how good the noise levels of the camera used to take the photo are

Agree to bro night86mare. The pixels on the image gets saturated and flats out on the overblown area of the image. If you attempt to reduce the exposure in PS, you'll just darken or lighten the saturated patches on the pictures and not be able to recover any details within.

To all Bros, thanks for the valuable input. At least now I knows that some things cant be recovered if the camera settings are not properly set. Thanks again.
