The web page !

I think Me & Zplus will not be posting any more pictures ! Unless with lots of Copyright Chops all over the picture;)

Whoever this CynthiaKoh is ....just one big THIEF !!

Guys! I just checked this Cynthia Koh character and he has leeched several CS pics of pc shows and other shots.
:rbounce:

Ok....Chopped my photos all over with watermarks!!....Any other way we can protect our photo??:(

my picture was also in the leeching list too - all the person did was to chop off the bottom of the pic, thus leaving only the face of the model.

i'd sure like to make the guy pay for his misdeeds by paying up 3500 dollars. he also has that classic pic taken by Kindred leeched as well.

i guess this is the best way to do it now is a double watermark - note the faint watermark just under the face:

03-06-05-josephine.jpg

because, even if a digital watermark is used, all a leecher has to do is to hit "print screen", and it's over-ridden. :(

a simple, effective but yet extreme solution is "Don't post any photos of girls on the internet".

or post but share the links with someone that you can trust

Hack into sggirls and remove your pics ? Or write a email to the admin and tell him its your pic used without your authorisation ?

IF i can hack...i will go format their whole hard disk

no lar...dun be so bad and hack them....may be can think of ways to make their site close down?

This has happened many times before, sggirls.com members leeching photos and posting up there. Frankly, although I myself like beo'ing chiobus, I think that site really sucks.

Watermark your images so that you can prove ownership, I guess. What's the legal stance on this? My impression is that the image shot by the photographer is automatically compyrighted, and that the administrators are obliged to have them removed when the original owners request them removed.

Unfortunately, this issue keeps popping up.

Some of the things we have done - the Portraits & Poses sub-forum can only be viewed by registered members, guests cannot see, but there's nothing to stop someone from registering.

In previous instances of leeching, we have repeated emailed the admin by clicking on the "Click here to report ..." link that is found on the page.

The admin does take some time to go about deleting, but eventually the image will be taken down. Tedious I know, but the only effective way right now.

Technical solutions do exist, but they are cumbersome to install & maintain, not to mention that the ones that really work are not free.

Darren, here's a suggestion you might want to consider. For the 'protected' forums where such pictures are posted, only allow access to members who fulfil some criteria, e.g. you know personally or ClubSNAP admin have met in person at SEEDs, and get them to sign an undertaking not to infringe the copyright of these pictures.

cheers,
sfhuang

sfhuang, good suggestion. darren, maybe like those folks who have been seed regulars or have turned up for CS events are "qualified" to enter?

A big issue on the effort they have to change the scripts and allow the logins.

I don't mind not being able to access, but the poor admins will have to make a lot of changes.

But I seriously think that this is good. Stop leechers and if it happens, it'll be somebody inside.
