other brands version of 'L'

Pardon my noobness... i'm looking for other brand lenses of 'L' series of canon...
What is nikon or nikkor's?
pentax = * series
sigma = ex series
Tamron?
Sony?
Carl? (is it automatically 'L'?)

Tamron I think is SP (special performance), but im not too sure. Don't think Nikon or Sony has these designations...

And there will be some Nikon fanboys who will say all Nikkors automatically L :bsmilie:

There is no L equivalent for Nikkor. You see the price, most likely you know whether is it L equivalent or not :bsmilie:

L = expensive lens for me...

Sony equivalent are the G lenses. and an even higher spec are the Sony Carl Zeiss lenses. So it's like L and super-L.

50 1.8D dun have leh...Just like how a 50 f1.8 II doesn't have an L designation...
