My mother's orchids began blooming a few weeks ago. Thought I'd fool around with them.

Is it just me or is the mass of browness in the corner the most distracting thing you've ever seen?
 

I find the shot underexposed and soft. Not a good combination when shooting close-ups.
 

I do not mind if the image is soft.

But I think the contrast is low.

I think this image may be suitable for B&W.

Would you mind if take this image and convert it to B&W?
 

I did with another image, but you can't really tell what it is. I'd like to see if yours turns out the same. Give it a shot! :)

Try and try and try, you will be better and better...

i find the black and white one the best...
but in terms of identifying it with an orchid... its a bit hard when u just look at the black at white one... i guess the second picture looks more like a flower than the black and white one alone..
 

if you see clearly, there is some dust on your CCD :bsmilie:

Oh I see it now! I thought my Lap top was just dusty! haha! Thanks for pointing that out. :)
