Inspired by many beautiful and good butterfly shots here lately, so decided to share some of my shots also. These shots are not perfect so I welcome any critique (don’t worry, I can take any comments on the photos) so that I can improve further - this is how I learnt from the very beginning.

Thansk for viewing and your input.

Here goes:

Well done on capturing so many butt shots! Its not easy....at least for me anyway.
#1: I prefer a tighter crop, as the white flowers in bg at the right abit distracting.
#2:thumbsup:
#3: Very good details, but would prefer more parallel to camera shot
#5: Nice! Pity one of the curl leaf blocking the butt.

Nice. I had never seen these butts before. Maybe I wasn't noticing them before. I will try to look out for them now that I'm getting more interested in Macro.

However #1 look like too blended in (mostly whites). I would prefer a darker BG to bring out more details of the Butt. Just a newbie point of view.

tchuanye, thanks for your valuable feedback. Will try out your suggestion for #1.
DeSwitch, thanks for your view on #1.
Anymore suggestions ?

I think your Peacock Royal is pretty nice, Federick.

2. Common Tit:thumbsup:
well done, Federick

Thanks sumball, hhho, Goldenstars08, Qazwer for your kind comments.
Persaonlly I feel that in #2, the OOF red flower at the bottom spoils the picture.

All are very nice, to me at least. The OOF red flower can be PSed away easily, but not necessarily.
