i think there is a very detail guide to using curve for editing over a few issues, finish reading the 1st issue. quite like the write up, but i cant say the same for the write up on understanding aperture.

i d/l from 1st till the latest issue into my h/p, so can slowly slowly read while taking mrt / bus.
