It's a genetic condition which I studied about a little during my days in Uni. But I can hardly remember anything about it now.
In the pathology lab, there were samples of these bizarre things lying around. I've even seen a head sample from a calf (baby cow) which had the same condition.

Although seeing the wide open eye did made me think that it might be a hoax. It is a new-born kitten, I didn't expect the eye to be so wide open.
Could such genetic disorders be due to diet of the animal's parents?

One thing I noticed... don't kittens have blue eyes and kittens dont open their eyes till one week later..... hmmmm very dodgy the pic......
