On-the-Spot Photo Contest -@ Braddell Heights CC
cum Photography Talk on 20th April and Model Shoot on 21st April 2013, Free Entry
Terms & Conditions:
1. Pre-registration is required for the contest.
2. Participants below the age of 18 as at 13 April 2013 must obtain the consent of his/her parent or legal guardian to participate in the Contest, and such parent or legal guardian must agree to the terms and conditions specified.
3. Participants must report at the time stipulated by the Organiser. Latecomers will be disqualified.
4. Participants must produce their Student Pass / NRIC for verification.
5. Participants must be physically fit. The Organiser, its sponsors and affiliates as well as any officers, judges, employees of those organizations will not be held liable for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind sustained during or after the Contest.
6. Participants will be held responsible for any damages made to any equipment and premises during the Contest.
7. All participants must be present during the Prize-giving Ceremony to be held on Sunday, 21 April 2013. Any prizes not claimed at the prize-giving ceremony will be forfeited.
8. The Organiser reserves the right to publish names and particulars of participants, take photographs and/or film participants for publicity purposes.
9. The Organiser retains the right to publish all photographs for an unlimited period of time, display printed versions of the photos at the public showcase, and use the photos for promotional purposes for future Contests.
10. The Organiser reserves the right to change or amend any of the Contest Guidelines or Terms & Conditions at its own discretion without prior notice.
11. Participation in this Contest indicates acceptance of Contest Guidelines and/or Terms & Conditions. Non-compliance with the Terms & Conditions shall result in an immediate disqualification.
12. The Organiser reserves the right to postpone or cancel the Contest.
13. The Organiser's and Judges decisions are final.

Contest Guidelines:
A. All participants must bring their own digital camera (mobile phones are not allowed).
B. The Contest will be held on Saturday, 20 April 2013 and the Prize-giving Ceremony will be held on Sunday, 21 April 2013. All participants must be present on BOTH days to qualify.
C. There will be one (1) theme for the Contest, which will only be announced on the Saturday, 20 April 2013 at 1.00pm at Braddell Heights Community Club Mini-Theatre (Level 2). All photographs submitted must reflect the given theme.
D. All photographs must be taken on Saturday, 20 April 2013 between 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
E. All photographs must be taken within Braddell Heights Estate . All photographs must be shot as JPEG files and sized to between 2MB (minimum) and 5MB (maximum). Raw files will not be accepted.
F. Storage format accepted are CF / SD / MMC / XD / MS formats. Participants using other formats must supply their own relevant adaptors / drives for use during the submission of entries during the event. The Organisers will not be held responsible for the inability to read/download images.
G. Participants must own the copyright to their photos and be entitled to reproduce any underlying rights or intellectual property in their photos.
H. All participants must respect personal rights and the rights of property owners and be respectful and mindful at all times.
I. All photographs will be judged based on the following criteria:
Creativity
Technical skills in addressing the theme
J. The judges will award the following prizes:
First Prize: $350 cash
Second Prize: $250 cash
Third Prize: $150 cash
5 Distinction Prizes: $50 cash
K. The judges decision is final. No correspondence will be entertained regarding the judges decision.
L. All participants must submit their entries personally. Each participant is only allowed to submit two (2) entries.
M. Submission for photographs must be completed by 4pm on 20 April 2013 at Braddell Heights Community Club Mini-Theatre (Level 2).
N. Late submissions will not be accepted.
O. All participants are not allowed to alter the photographs by any external software except for built-in camera image editing software.
P. Photographs imported from an external source are not accepted.
Q. Any manipulation (or suspected manipulation) of the image and import of photos from external sources will cause the entry to be disqualified. The decision will be made at the discretion of the judges and/or the Organisers of the Contest.
R. Submission of photographs signifies acceptance of terms and conditions.
S. Should any dispute arise in connection with the Contest Guidelines or Terms & Conditions, the decision of the Organiser will be final.
T. Without prejudice to any other provision of the Contest Guidelines, the Organisers reserves the right to disqualify any participant for failure to abide by any of the Contest Guidelines set out herein, or for submitting false, inaccurate or incomplete information, or for any other reasonable cause, at the Organisers sole discretion, without first informing the participant and without being liable in any way whatsoever for any loss, expense, cost, damages or otherwise suffered or incurred in connection with the Contest or resulting from such disqualification.
