Hi,

I would like to seek any suggestion of replacing the EP 5 stabiliser.

Current issue is dignose to a faulty stabiliser that causes the camera to shut down.

Olympus repair centre has quoted close to $400+ for replacement which the camera is out of warranty.

Is there any place that can perform such repair at a better rate?

Thanks

It's cheaper just to buy a used body from CS. You may get extra items for that price or thereabout. Just do a search :)

Agreed, or top up for a newer body. Was quoted 500+ for my almost 3yo EM10 body, IBIS and flash issue, makes more sense to buy used.

For $400, u can buy a used E-M10 MK1 body.

Was quoted $280 for stabilizer for my omd em10 mk1 at camera hospital sunshine plaza. Am still thinking to proceed with it or no.

It's time to upgrade the body.
