Olive Backed Sunbird in Botanical Gardens

To be frank this is my first time shooting a sunbird.
Setup for reference:
1d2+EF300/2.8+kenko2x


#1 tight crop to show the feather details
1/160, f7.1(+2), iso400, -1EV, 50% FF

#2 changed settings to anticipate flight but the bird came up with a solid pose suddenly giving me not enough time to switch settings. Anyway i prefer this despite the shallow DOF.
1/400, f4(+2), iso400, -1EV, 70% FF

Yup...quite a few shots. But too bad the flight shots are not too good becasue my shutter speed was too low.

Heard the playground is no more...very sad. :bheart:
