Old Photo Shops

Hi all,
Remember those photo shops (with studios containing elaborate backdrops, settings, & props for portraiture) under the flats, sprung up and popular in the 70s/80s, and does film process, printing, portraiture/passport photos for the regular family...Are they still existent? Let me know if there's one in your neighbourhood. I'm looking high and low...Thanks many!

I have decided to not pay for sth that I can do myself tho hahah
maybe i got you wrong.. but you are talking abt shops that specialise in printing but have small studio setups on the side for takig passport photos ya?

jurong east (photo bugs) also have a small studio strobe for passport photo.

Upper East Coast Road has one, quite famous, near junction of Woo Mon Chew road.

there used to be one near tiong bahru area, its a corner-unit shophouse built by the SIT in during the early years SG...

There's one in Peninsula shopping centre, level 2 and they still shoot film and touch up the photos by hand - very quaint.

I recently stumbled onto one in KL, and yeah, all the interesting props and stuff are still lying around! ;p

Sadly, hawaii's grade has fallen ... parents went there to shoot some photos for passport.:sweat: .. they got a shock when the photos came out.
