Hi any brother out there can tell me is all the old lens of existing brand slr camera eg nikon, canon, pentax, minota.... can feed in the Dslr body of their respective brand, hopefully someone can help me as i intend to buy a dslr soon. Thank you.

think Pentax and Nikon Dslrs can use their older Manual focus lens
( with some metering restrictions ?? )
Minolta need a adapter .. same for Canon
( also with metering restrictions ?? )
so unless you really need the backward compatibility
best is to sell the older lens and get the newer versions.

That said .. i enjoy using some M42 lens in my Dslr
but you can get adapter for almost any Dslr to M42 ....

I think ratboy is correct, only Pentax and Nikon DSLR can use old lens (manual focus, manual metering).

thank both for your precious comment, you mean only manual lense how about AF lense can it work as normally. Thank you.

Nikkor AF lens can be used on Nikon DSLR, even Fiji DSLR also can.
ED lens do u mean the old Nikkor manual focus AI lens?

thank for your feedback, it should be Nikon ED AF Nikkor 80 to 200mm lense.

The nikon 80-200 F2.8 (whatever version) should be able to fit in all the DSLRs.

you mean it work perfectly as digital lense function.

" Perfectly " is relative to your needs : )
but is will work enough to take picts

bring lens along when shopping for the Dslr
and try all of them ...
You are paying the shops for their service

The Nikkor AFD80-200 works ok for Nikon DSLR. U still have auto-metering and auto-exposure, the only difference is the Nikon DSLR have a small sensor (the crop ratio 1.6) so your zoom will "feel like" a AFD128-320.

thanks ratboy & Astin will bring my lense to try out before buying, may I know where can I fetch a good price and services for camera equipment.

A few shops that always got mentioned here:
Cathay Photo at Peninsular and Marina Square
Alan Photo at Sim Lim
John 3:16 at Funan

Just tell them u are from Clubsnap ;)

thanks brother will check thing coming weekend.
