Old film effect

Please ignore the subject and other matters but focus on the colour.
I intend to give a nostalgic feel to the colour. Not sure if this colour setting is alright. Please help? This is before burning and feathering corners. Just wanna know if the colour feels alright to pass off as old film effect.

Not sure if I am making myself clear. Haha. Please help as much as you can. Thanks in advance.

Hmm.. doesn't really look like old film.. just look yellowish.

this is my try, do let me know what you think, bored out of my skin here

reduced contrast, added some lens blur, and then grain and tweaked the colors/.saturation further

Hey night86mare! Thanks for trying! I used the technique from the link given and did a bit of tweaking. This is what I got. Not sure if i overdid it... but it's a good way to past time. Lol.
