I reading some article about nowadays the compact camera is getting bigger sensor.
I was wonder if my very old DSLR canon 300D, 6.3 megapix year 2003 , those days the digital is still not yet so advance and 300D is one of the
budget range . but still using APS-C size.

What is compare those camera and try to set also same megapixel
example
1) 300D ( 2003) vs X20
2) 300D vs RX100
3) 300d vs P7700
4) 300d vs G15

Will my old D300 still able to match those new compact camera that not APS-C size or bigger in term of IQ?
:)

Are you on a Canon 300D or a Nikon D300? These are very different cameras but you keep flip-flopping between them

If you are referring to the Nikon D300 dSLR, then it is clear that:

1. The D300 is superior in every way
2. It isn't exactly old...

If you are referring to the Canon 300D dSLR, then

1. The Canon 300D will win some, and lose some.

Might next week my friend will lend me x20 to try out.
Will also try out g15.
My is 300D. I think low light will completely lose to new camera especially handheld, even with IS lens
