"Oh Great Sea Here I come!"

This unfortunately did actually happened to me once, was on a vessel several hundred nautical miles off the eastern seaboard of the Visayas island group, Philippines when we encounter a fast developing low-pressure system.

The seas start getting really choppy in just hours brought about by a high sea state bringing in some extreme waves resulting in a roll angle of some 30 degrees side to side (something like walking up the main road of Bukit Timah Hill I reckon). Tried taking some photos while secured to the bridge wing but alas I got bumped against the alidade and off the camera goes along with my handheld maritime VHF radio clipped to my PFD which somehow came lose in a somewhat unnatural fashion sideways past the railings.
