You still have not read the Critique Corner guidelines have you?

To all posting pictures to seek critique

NOTICE 1 - 16th April 2007 Short Writeup Made Compulsory

From 16th April 2007 onwards, a short writeup will be made compulsory for every picture posted for critique.

Pictures posted without a short writeup that includes any one or all of the following will be moved or deleted without notice.

1. in what area is critique to be sought?
2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture

writings like 'C&C Welcomed' or 'i took this at Ang Mo Kio' are not counted as short writeup.

The following is a good example of how to make a critique request

For Newbies - How to do a short writeup for critique.

Posting Tips

Critique seekers are encouraged to post your best pictures for critique. A picture with good amount of effort spent to produce will generate more interest than one that's sloppily worked out. It is also only fair to those who will be spending time giving their feedback that critique seekers put in the equivalent effort in their work.

some points listed by zaren which will be helpful to newbies, taken from the Posting Guidelines thread.

Critique seeker should also embed the picture within the thread instead of just providing links. This is a simple act of courtesy since the Critique Seeker initiates the critique request.
