Ntuc supermarket opened today at AMK Centre

yes.. it is very packed. The long stretch of escalators to basement was filled with people. there are 2 entrance/exit locations, one from Macdonalds, other near overhead bridge.

there are huge queues at the " Ready To Eat " counter.. buying some kind of BBQ chicken ? also saw some " hurry looking " pple pulling off clothes out from stacks of sale items.. :think:

btw.. if u are driving.. i suggest u park yr car in HDB estates.. the basement carpark is likely to get jammed soon.

Just come back from there! Yap... still as crowded and it is pretty warm during the ride down the escalator and along the corridor esp the one from macdonald seems quite long n got to turn here n there! when reached expecting the place to be big but it is much smaller then Giant in VIVO City!!!:bsmilie:

yah.. the ceiling height was lower than Gaint.. btw.. the place seems to be very brightly lighted up.. cold storage at paragon basement was so dark..

What is the big deal? It's only a big supermarket, and AMK is not in the middle of nowhere?

Nowaday things are getting bigger. Biggest shopping mall vivocity, big new Ikea, big Courts, big NTUC, largest ferris wheel, largest fonts, large 30" LCD monitor. I love big big things :thumbsup:

That is definately a BIG DEAL

But still, so what if it's the BIGGEST supermarket? Who cares? Are you driving halfway across the country to goto a BIG supermarket?

I goto the markets that are close by ...

Now, if it's the biggest CAMERA STORE in Singapore ... still nope .... does not make sense

i guess Singapore is a boring place, so therefore whenever there's a new shopping place like Vivo City or AMK HUB.. people just flock to there despite knowing that it is just a shopping mall or a NTUC.

when IR opens.. i think the same will happen. Crowds will go and see what a casino looks like.

I remember about 2 sunday ago saw in the papers we are No.8 in the world in terms of total space for shopping inclusive of all our newly bulit MEGA MALL!:sweat:
