The wind pattern here is 6 months of north east wind and 6 months of south west wind.

Radiation can travel very far so anywhere along the direction of the wind will not be safe.

All the food in South East Asia will not be safe for eating for thousands of years.

Of course. Singapore is not Russia.
If something like Chernobyl happens here, there is no where to run.
No sure if fusion is safer if some one manages to make it happen in future.

how to run a high-precision nuclear system when cannot run a less-precise (but equally demanding) MRT system...?

"*ding dong* Attention all singaporeans, due to a cooling tower fault, Jurong Area will be unhabitable for the next 3000 years. we apologize for any inconvenience caused"

wasn't there talk of Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore cooperating to build one? With Indonesia "donating" an uninhabited island and others contributing funds and manpower?

Run across causeway to Malaysia and hide in jungles.

Cannot.
They will be operating the Lynas rare earth plant eventually. Australians say "heng! lucky not in my country"
Malaysians want to run to Singapore.
