When the PRC-made iPhones and iPads were sold in USA, no one complained. Millions of US consumers queued up to buy.
Most toys bought for children around Christmas time are made in PRC nowadays. Again no one complained.
So what is the fuss over the uniform for the athletes?
Lawmakers angry U.S. Olympics uniforms made in China | 11alive.com
Take note - the complaint is NOT because the uniforms were of low quality; or badly tailored; or of inferior material.
Some US lawmakers complained just because the uniforms were made in PRC and for no other reason.
The uniforms were designed by Ralph Lauren.
So does it mean Olympics athletes should wear only attire made in their own country?
The USOC was just getting the best quality and value for money when sourcing for the uniforms. Saving tax payers' money. Anything wrong with that?
