do rechargeable NiMH batteries exhibit memory effect?
the answer is no, right?
but NiCD batteries do, right?

thanx

So far no.

All my NiMH do not exhibit memory effect. But it varies frm brand to brand. Some of the more ulu-ulu brand are prolly made frm lesser quality materials and will wear out faster den usual. Tho$e made frm better quality, will prolly la$t longer (and of co$...).

Yes and No. They exhibit memory effect but not to the degree of NiCd such as to be a serious concern. In any case, their limited cycle life of 500 compared to NiCd's 1000+ means that delibrately discharging them to reduce memory effect is a waste of its cycle life. NiMh will also suffer damage from being overly discharged.(<1V)

thanx.

hmm .... quite surprised that my sanyo 2100 drains easily.

Any idea if the MH-C401FS discharge the batteries prior to charging them?

thanx
